HMUSA 2022 Conference: 5G Edge and the Role of Intelligent Software in Industry 4.0

About the presentation
5G goes beyond expanding mobile network broadband capabilities and provides advanced wireless connectivity, private networks, reliable networks with ultra-low latency, built-in privacy, security, ultra-high bandwidth -high and 3GPP to provide the highest level of support for massive Internet of Things (IoT) communications and larger devices such as Automated Mobile Robots (AMR) and Guided Vehicles (AGV) with positioning accuracy and energy efficiency. Our survey and the 5G-CFIA initiative prove that 5G will be the springboard for the Industrial 4.0 digital modernization of manufacturing and industrial networks. This will allow companies to quickly launch new technologies. 5G also unifies a range of low- to high-capacity devices (i.e. sensors) to heavy-duty machines that today run on several different radio and wireline technologies. Verizon shares its experiences and insights on how 5G will soon enable advanced industrial applications with AR/VR, local processing, automated object detection and motion control via 5G private networks, edge computing, a efficient radio and spectrum planning for the right set of industrial applications and 5G network management.
