Keysight’s PathWave ADS 2023 delivers enhancements to EM simulation and streamlines multi-technology integration into EDA workflows. The software enables RF and microwave product developers to address signal complexity, design densification, and frequencies up to 60 GHz and beyond.
Simulation performance enhancements in RFPro, the interactive EM simulator built into PathWave ADS, include automation of EM circuit co-simulation setup to ensure analysis is accessible without the assistance of an EM expert or the need for an invasive layout change. EM solvers and mesh technologies are available through a single unified environment with parallelized simulation acceleration through cloud-based high-performance computing. RFPro also offers seamless integration with Cadence Virtuoso, Synopsys Custom Compiler, and Ansys HFSS to facilitate enterprise EDA approval workflows.
The PathWave ADS 2023 development environment now automates 3D multi-technology assembly for routing and verification of densely integrated RF modules. Improved management of design databases containing multi-technology structures enables correct simulation setup and traceability of designs and simulation data.
Additionally, Pathwave ADS integrates Keysight instrumentation algorithms for generating test signals and calculating error vector magnitude (EVM) distortion. This provides EVM simulation support for all circuit-level modulated signals to enable design tuning and optimization.
