It’s been a tough fundraising year for many startups, as VCs have drastically slowed spending from 2021 levels.
While enterprise software is considered one of the few recession-proof markets, even this area of venture capital funding has slowed significantly. In the first six months of 2022, 62 startups received a total of $5.61 billion from investors, compared to the 455 cloud startups that raised a total of $15.2 billion last year, according to PitchBook.
Finding promising and thriving B2B cloud startups in 2022 is a bit more difficult than in the past. Insider asked top investors to name the most promising startups they’ve seen this year, both in and out of their portfolios.
